We were in the harbour area last night and decided to enter the upstairs Poseidonas restaurant. We quickly ordered drinks and food and waited, the waited some more, ordered more drinks then carried on waiting. Husband said we'd give it an hour never believing that we would have to wait that long. Well we did so we decided to leave, it had spoilt our day, what a frustrating experience. We've been here several times on our trips to Paphos but never felt so ignored. No apology, no explanation of expected delays, no bread and the restaurant was only a quarter full at best. If you want to stay in business remember your sole aim in life is to end up with happy, smiling satisfied customers who will return time after time to keep staff employed and create revenue for the business. Last night you failed abysmally, nil points Elena ! You can read a full review of this on tripadvisor if you've the time whilst retraining your staff to provide genuine customer satisfaction. Goodbye.

We visited here on nĂºme occasions during our two week holiday, the reasons for our returns were Fantastic food Superb service Fantastic friendly, attentive staff Beautiful views across the bay Relaxing evening enjoying the food and atmosphere On our last night the 9 of us in our party decided to return to the restaurant where we were again served quickly and efficiently by extremely busy staff, who really couldn't do enough. It was a bank holiday in Cyprus that day. When we return in 2016 we will definitely be returning, see you all then! Keep up the superb work

We visited Paphos on 3rd jan 2013 After being asked by other restaurants to visit them,we came to your restaurant. We were very politely asked if we would like to join you for A spot of lunch at the Poseidonas. Due to the professional way we were asked,we did join you. The food was lovely, the setting was great, and the service was also great. This was our first visit to Paphos and we certainly will visit you again on this holiday for some lovely food and a relax. Thank you Keith and Sian Smith. Cardiff. UK.

Captains Bay at Pissouri - have been many times in last 2 decades with family and friends. Always excellent food & service, enhanced by a truly stunning location. Well worth the trip from Paphos or Limassol.

Please, I beg not take the report from CC Larnaca as being the norm.

Captains Table at Paphos - only been once and as we love fish cuisine we were hoping for good things. We were NOT disappointed - everything cooked to perfection, service of the highest order and an "ordinary" night out turned into a very memorable one. Returning this year (2012) and one of the 1st stops will be here (and probably the bistro first to watch the sun go down). Very good food and an excellent view, what more could you ask for?

A day trip to Paphos with the family and hopefully a lovely lunch to match the lovely view from the closed veranda of the Poseidonas Restaurant. The restaurant was relatively full but not as busy as the other restaurants so we chose this one as we are a large family of 9. We ordered after waiting at least 20 minutes to be asked around 2pm and the head waiter offered to bring the 2 childrens' meals quickly as the other meals would need a little more time. 45 minutes later they served two bowls of spaghetti (imagine if he hadn't arranged a quick service!). During our wait we obviously asked why it was taking so long and the rushed off his feet waiter came to tell us that everyone had ordered at the same time, and they were doing their best to serve everyone. It obviously was not working!
A group of 8 men that had arrived 30 minutes after us and had ordered after us too were served and finished by the time the kids meals had arrived...
Our meals were served about 20 minutes after the kids meals and needless to say the appearance and quality was not worth the wait. We were told that the dishes all came with chips, vegetables and rice. All the orders were served with nothing but a sprig of wimp parsley and they placed 2 plates of cold chips and a bowl containing 2 spoon fulls of mushy rice with burnt fried aubergines and courgettes on the table. Totally disgusting and none of our orders looked or tasted as they should have done.
Of course we did try to make our disappointment in the service and quality of food known to the head waiter and the waitress who brought our orders but unfortunately neither were capable of making any acceptable excuses or apologies. In fact they were quite defensive and stand offish.
I would love to see Gordon Ramsay pay a visit to this restaurant and see his comments on their food presentation, quality and service. I think every other word will start with an F!! Especially when he sees the head waiter smoking in the restaurant at the bar and handling the restaurant's little pet monkey at the entrance (which I saw when I left) and then serving plates of food!!

Delightful restaurant on the Paphos seafront. Good fresh fish and excellent attentive service. Prices however are not cheap and you pay a premium for the location. Many dishes are served with chips (not to my liking as tradtionally fish is served with new potatoes). I am concerned that the staff employed by this restaurant and many others in Paphos are paid just 4 euros an hour. However, I would recommend tipping which I hope the waiters and waitresses take a share in. 7/10.

If you are looking for a traditional Cypriot venu with excellent service and amazing views of the Mediterranean the Poseidonas restaurant has it all. Thanks to Antonis and staff for making our wedding day really special.

Poseidonas is the best restaurant that I have ever had the pleasure of dining at. The staff always ensure that everything is perfect making their service second to none. Whether you decide to sit on the harbour front, on the balcony or even inside you will always be assured that as well as perfect hospitality and superb quality food you will always be lucky enough to experience some of the most spectacular panoramic views of Paphos harbour and the Mediterranean Sea.

If you wish to realise your dream of having the most perfect wedding reception dinner (which these guys are experts in), a romantic meal or even a casual get together with friends then the Poseidonas is most definitely the place to dine in Cyprus.

I am also confident in advising that along with the beautiful food, all of the fantastic team including Elena, Antonis and Yola will make you feel like you are the only customers in the world to ensure you have a dining experience you'll never want to end.
